|| Stallion

Zapateado is a purebred Arabian stallion, dark bay with four white sox and a strip blaze. He stands 15.3hh. He has a very short back and long legs, making for a magical ride.

His cannon bones measure 23cm (9 inches) around, and he is passing plenty of bone and height onto his offspring.

He has three crosses to Royal Domino and two to Shafreyn. His breeding is the quintessential RM Williams mix – with multiple crosses to RM’s own favourite Arabian stallion, Sheikie, and a tail female line to Barada 2nd.

Zap is already a well-performed endurance horse, qualifying in 2003 for his Yellow (Open) Log Book and winning his 2 nd ride in open competition (Tarwin Beach Ride) & taking out the Fittest Horse. In March 2004 I decided to take him barefoot. He has since completed Silver Creek 80km successfully, barefoot.
